You can learn a lot about yourself on Bing
Over the years, I’ve had a lot of different hobbies or interests. These have included
- technical writing (which has ended up as my career)
- music (didn’t every guy in high school in the early 80′s dream of his own band?)
- photography (and I actually ended up published in the local paper a couple times)
- computer programming (and ended up with a CompSci major, so that worked out)
- cycling (though that never really got anywhere due to knee problems)
Among many others. However, via Bing! I think I’ve discovered a parallel universe where ALL these things came true. Let me explain:
First, my name is Eric Landes, and I’m a technical writer. (No link here, because, well, that’s me.)
Second, my name is Eric Landes, and I’m a musician.
Third, my name is Eric Landes, and I’m a photographer.
Fourth, my name is Eric Landes, and I’m a computer programmer.
Fifth, my name is Eric Landes, and I’m a bicycle mechanic.
There aren’t a whole lot of Eric Landes’s around. I find it VERY odd that all but a couple of them seem to have gravitated to careers matching interests I’ve had. Many years ago, I also came across a university professor named Eric Landes that taught technical writing, but I can’t locate him now. I think it was at the University of Chicago, but I’ve been unable to find him.
One of those small world types of posts, I guess.
